The key to many of these tips is to press and hold: Rather than flick a button, word or icon on the screen, press and hold your finger for two seconds.
Often, this will display a menu of options specific to the type of item, such as a bookmark for a web link.
You can also press and hold the keys on the phone, and the bottom of the screen, to reveal several options.
In general, prolonged oppression functions are designed to save you flicking through a series of menus to perform a common task.
It is the equivalent of right clicking your mouse on a PC screen.
Thus, for example, you can press and hold the Home key on your phone housing - which seems a little house - to display a menu of eight most recently used applications.
This allows you to quickly jump between, say, an email that you are writing and your Internet browser.
You can also press and hold the search button - looks like a magnifying glass - to deploy a microphone icon labeled "Speak now".
The Voice Command System Android comprises at least 20 orders, such as "Send text to Alison Wright, I'll see you later at 6", "Navigate to the nearest pizza parlor," "Listen to Taylor Swift" and of course, "Note to myself." If not begin with a special order, Android will assume that you are requesting an Internet search.
Within the browser application, press and hold the backspace key, the arrow labeled with a U-turn to the left, to immediately open a screen with their favorites, the most visited pages and browsing history displayed in tabs .

Give it a tap, and the camera will start searching faces in your viewfinder using facial recognition software.
The phone will take a new picture of you every few seconds, adding images to your photo folder.
Is more random picture taken in a mirror, but it's more fun, like going into an old photo booth.
Phrases faster
Android picked up a trick of the old BlackBerry phones: When typing a text or email, no need to find the key point at the end of a sentence.
Simply press the space bar twice. Android insert a period and a space much more quickly than they could type it yourself.
Email shortcuts
If you use Gmail on your Android phone, you can create separate shortcut icons, as described above, to specify accounts, folders and labels in Gmail.
This allows you to have separate icons for work email and personal email, rather than open anything you read last when given a tap on the icon of Gmail.
Once in the email application can also change folder by tapping on the current folder name at the top of the screen.

Android displays the time but not the date on your home screen. If you drag the notification tray to the top of the screen, today's date appears in the upper left corner.

Most Americans are Android phones with keyboards only in English and Spanish for the touchscreen installed. To add, say, a German keyboard, go to Android Market and search for "German keyboard." Expect to pay around $ 3 for most applications the keyboard.
Get rid of nuisance calls
Is there someone who frequently calls who never wants to answer? Add it to your contact list if not already there.
Then edit your entry, and scroll to the bottom in search of the "Information". It is difficult to open the option, must give a tap on the arrow key on the right, which will display more options, possibly out of sight below the bottom edge of your screen.
But if everything goes to the bottom of the extra options, you will find a welcome surprise, "Send direct to voicemail?" Give a click for your peace of mind.
